It turns out that even silent films transferred to video tape in fact have a soundtrack — there is at least tape hiss, always present in any case. Here, the telecine’s sound section was patched thru to the record head during such a transfer, the result being an unintended recording, put to use in this filecast as the backdrop for a few more intentional added musical incidents.
